HELP, rear axle backing plate bolt patter - clocking.

HELP,

i was trying to convert a 2000 disk brake rear axle to go in my 06 1500 with drum brakes.

I have the axle from the 2000 disk brake.

Removed brake hardware.

Went to install the drum hardware and now noticed that the "clocking" appears to be different.

The bolt pattern on the 2000 axle appears to be a 'diamond" when in a normal resting position.

While the 06 is not here, my son is in the Air Force and has the truck with him.

QUESTION;

Is the 06 drum brake more horizontal or parallels to the ground.?

Question # 2.

If I use the drum brakes and install on the axle, The wheel cylinder may not be at 12:00 o'clock.

WILL THIS CAUSE PROBLEMS.

I think my problems is:

Bolt clock patterns are:

Disk Brakes:

12:00 & 6:00 :and: 9:00 and 3:00

Drum Brakes:

10:00 & 2:00 : and: 7:00 and 4:00

Does this sound correct, my 06 with Drum brakes is not readily available.

I am not sure if the wheel cylinder pointing between 10:00 & 11:00 or 1:00 and 2:00

will cause more problems then it is worth.
