How-to remove Denali hatch chrome?

Recommended Posts

Is the chrome cover with GMC writing [as shown in pic] just another sticker? What is the best/easiest way to remove it?

Got a magnet? I doubt it's chrome, the rear liftgate and lower rear quarter panels are not metal. Probably stuck with double sided tape if it's a plastic cover, which could be removed with a small flathead starting at a corner. Take your time not to damage your finish, some double sided tape can hold up to 30lbs.

Yeah, probably the same Chinese made simulated chrome as the door strips.

Order a replacement off a non Denali

I went thru the same exercise with the roof rails (didn't want chrome)

Just do this;  On the regular Yukon's (non-Denali) this piece is painted to match the body, just order one up and swap it out.

Would be interested to know the part number of that piece as I plan to do the same.
