How long is transit?

Question for anyone that ordered from va,nc,md area. My truck was ordered 3-2 allocated 4-1, built around 4-15 and I'm told is waiting at the port for a ship. How long was your transit process? I thought only the ones going northeast came by boat. Truck is a 16 Sierra slt crew 6.5 max tow 6.2

Mine took 20 days from when they said it was shipped to pa.

Depends. How many new trucks are going to the rail yard in your area? Is it enough for a full load? Miles and switch yards it must pass through? After that, how long until the transport truck to your dealer get a full load. Now when it gets on schedule you are about 1 day out. Find out these answers and we can tell you about how many days.

Mine took 17 days to get to Northern Michigan shipped 5/18/15, arrived at dealer 6/4/15. Came by rail to distribution center in IL.

 

Dealer invoice shows an estimate date of arrival, called on invoice at "Expires in Transit" so they have a idea of when it will be there. mine showed up on the day it was supposed, 6/4/15.

Update on mine, apparently it's coming by boat. It's waiting at the dock in Mexico still. Had been there since last Tuesday. Dealer says he won't have a eta till it actually gets on the boat. The wait is killing me.

Crew cabs are only made in Mexico, same quality.

Flint is capable of building 1500 crew and regular cab as well as the HD crew and regular cab.

Nice, I wonder why all that I've seen were built in Mexico. I hope mine is the exception and built in Flint! I need my truck!!

1500 CC trucks built at Flint are few and far between. I have only come across one and that was more or less a fleet bare bones truck sitting on a dealer lot.
