New Tires Installed!!

Well after some debating and researching i finally decided to replace the BFG All Terrain KO2's that i had on my sierra. I was able to put just shy of 60,000 miles on them before the road noise got to a point that i couldn't really stand it anymore. They still had 8-9/32nds of tread depth left so they had quite a bit of life left but i was able to get a could trade amount towards my new set. After reading review after review of different tires i decided on 275/60r20 Cooper Discoverer ATP. Main reasons for going with this tire are good tread wear, quiet and smooth ride, and the price point that they are offered at. I've only put a couple of hundred miles on them so far but i'm really impressed with the feel and how smooth they are. We'll see how they hold up over time...it only took me a little over a year to put 60,000 on the BFG's so i'll know pretty quickly how the Coopers are going to hold up. Going to be taking about a 1600 mile round trip for vacation soon so that will be a good test for them. Here are some pictures...the wife got a new nikon d3300 slr camera this weekend so had to take a few pics and play around with it.

I'm a big fan of the Cooper ATP, I'm on my 4th set on this truck :).

Now that I've finally settled on a size and wheel that I like, I should be able to see how they wear for this truck.

275/65/18 on stock 18s.

275/55/20 on stock 20s

275/60/20 on stock 20s after level

285/70/17 on Method 17s

I have about 10K on them currently, and they still look pretty much brand new. They were fantastic this winter as well.

Good to hear they seem to be wearing well for you. I just need them to last me about 50,000 miles and then it will be time to trade in for something else!

20K.

It took me 10K (and 3 wheel/tire changes) to figure out the right wheel tire combo and look i wanted with this truck.

Gotcha... My first thought was 4 sets at 50K miles per set = Holy Chit he drives a lot!

200K in 1 yr, that would be nuts.
