Auxiliary Back-up Light Switch '09 Silverado HD

I've been meaning to post a how-to on this, but after what I'm experiencing I think I've changed my mind.

As I posted a good while back, I wanted to install a few auxiliary switches to turn on a set of off road light, activate the truck and trailer back-up lights, and trigger the trailer winch solenoid. So far two out of the three have worked.

My problem is the backup light circuit keeps blowing the fuse. I ran a wire from the inside of the cab to a fuse tap on trailer back-up light fuse. It's connected to side going to the lights....not the hot side. This worked for a while, but now I can't keep a fuse in there. I should mention that the switch still turns on the back-up lights. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I wanted to give a quick update so maybe someone can shed some light on what I am experiencing.

The day after I posted this, I checked all the fuses only to find them all to be intact. I also found that I had no backup lights period when the truck was in reverse, or when the perimeter lighting was activated.

What I know: both of the backup light bulbs are good, and there is no power coming to either of the 10 amp fuses associated with this circuit.

I read somewhere the BCM may be going out; I began to believe this when the duel zone climate controls started adjusting without me touching them. Oddly enough, sometimes the backup light come on, and most of the time the a/c works fine.....is it haunted?
