Upper Control Arms (aftermarket discussion)

I couldnt find much if really any info on what upper control arm is best or even when it becomes needed.

I had a 7" lifted Tacoma before this truck now and had to get a adjustable upper control arm set to correct my camber. So fast forward to my 2016 GMC All/Terrain now and it seems I need to do the same thing. I have a 6.5 Zone lift and added Bilstein 5100 set at 1.25" . Also running 35.5" tires. So I barely got my alignment in specs with the 6.5" lift and when I added the extra "1.25 of lift i have now entered a bad camber zone.

I need a upper control arm that can offset this as well as give me the travel back in my suspension. I dont know if there is any other options outside of after market control arms. Who makes the best upper control arms for the money? Please experienced info only.

for aftermarket UCAs, I would go with either Cognito or Total Chaos....I have the uniball Cognito on my 2.5" levelled truck along with Bistein 5100s, and it is spot on. If I were you, I'd call them with your specific setup since you are taking everything up another 1.5" past the lift... Spurshot, a member on this forum, has posted some good pix of what he did but with King shox....

There 325/60/20 Goodyear Duratracs There like a 35.5" tire. I really like them, great street, ice and dirt manners.

$540+ for cognitos? Holy crap!!

yep, they are a bit pricey, but they are the best out there, will last a long time, and are great for lifted applications

thx, they look good too but I can see you may need that extra 1-2 inches to clear rubbing
