Just picked up our spankin new 2016 Silverado a few days ago. Traded off our 2015 Canyon that our GM dealer screwed up the steering and tranny with recall updates. Once our power steering failed (after the recall) doing 100k on the highway and almost killed us we lost trust in the truck. After the tranny recall update the tranny became clunky and not shifting like it use to. Our dealer agreed so they gave us almost what we paid for the canyon in trade for the Silverado.

Looking forward to learning all I can learn.

I don't want to display the name of the dealer. It was more of the unnecessary canyon recall updates that screwed the truck up, it ran fine until I went in for our oil change, then they told me there was several recalls.

The ultimate fix was to replace the steering modulator(I think that was what it was called) then after there was a occasional clack in the drivers side wheel, and the steering was somewhat looser than before. My biggest grievance was the new 2 second bog the canyon had when you tromped down on the gas that it didn't have until the tranny update.

Were glad they stepped up to the plate to keep their customer but we did eventually spend more to get a full sized pickup.
