Time for the dyno.

$650 for headers & a tune has to be at least $3-400. $1000 for 10-15 hp. Is it worth it? Which Texas headers would be better, off road y pipe for more power or the catted Y pipe for emissions? Of course I have emissions in my county but I think they just plug into the OBD to scan.

It's not really the numbers that count...I mean they do.

I know for a fact my truck will dyno over 300 to the wheels with the right condition. As far as actual driving difference it's totally worth it! The way it shifts, accelerates and the tourque it now makes makes driving the truck much more pleasurable.

The truck is a lot quicker than what most people think.

I can echo this on my 13 Sierra. The numbers don't lie, but they also are not the end all be all. Drivability in my truck is drastically different after the tune. Headers gave the truck a good amount of power all through the curve, and sound great...

If you are doing mods based strictly off $/hp, then there may be better paths to go, but this made me much more satisfied with my DD
