2016 Silverado vibration

Looking for some help. I have a new 2016 Silverado and I've noticed that when it's in V4 mode at about 30 - 35 mph approx 1100rpm that there is frequently a vibration, kindof a reverb style vibration. I've had it into the dealer twice now and they tell me that it's normal and all the new trucks do it. I even had a dealer tell me that they are coming out with an update for this issue. But 5 weeks later and still no update. Does anyone have any more info on this annoying vibration that I'm experiencing?

My '16 Z71 has the V4 vibe... very minor. My '07 had it too. I just figure a V8 is gonna run allot smoother than a V4 so I'm not too concerned about it. Besides, I have bigger fish to fry, or worry about, like the dreaded Chevy shake from 70 mph on up :banghead:

No solution for this yet. The dealer keeps telling me that it's normal operating.

I also own a new 16 Silverado LT V6. Just as Wwdcole stated, the vibration occurs when the two cylinders are idle and now in V4 mode. Mine will vibrate at any speed or rpm when it's in V4. The third time I addressed this issue a service writer road with me and pointed this out! More annoying than the vibration is that no one will say if anything can be don about it. Anyone receive any satisfaction?

I have a 2015 with about 10k miles and it just started to vibrate. It is not the super rough shake at higher speeds but a lighter vibration I can feel in the steering wheel and somewht seat and pedal. It comes on when I go to accelerate from a cruising speed and sometime shifting gears. It just started within last few 100 miles. I've noticed it in v4 but it also does it when I have the DOD turned off with my diablo. I wonder of it is the tranny or tq converter

Strange. If you're feeling it under acceleration, I would say it's a misalignment of the rear axle. If it's off even by a little, then you would feel a vibration caused by the driveshaft. I had this same issue and after centering the axle, the vibration under acceleration was gone.

This is what happened to me on my 2015. Dealer replaced the torque converter and now all is well.

I called and the service advisor tried to tell me it is just the characteristics of the truck and the way it is programmed and the tranny and so on. I kept telling him I am well aware of how the transmission normally feels and that the 8 speed is surely a different feel than the older 6 speeds and that I am aware of the V4 dropdown feel etc etc. In the end he said, well you can bring it in, but without a check engine light or a code for the techs to work from I am not sure we will be able to do anything. I even told him about PIP5337 and he seemed to brush that off. So aggravating.

I recommend you call a different dealer. Doesn't matter if they're close to you. If you experience something that appears to be a common issue, another dealer may have knowledge on the cause and solution. I do this from time to time and just say I moved near there and I want to get my truck towed because it was experiencing X symptoms. They have responded with "sounds like a bad bearing issue. Had a couple like that in the past week so I think you can drive it here instead". I know it's not the most stand up procedure but it's the only way to get more insight on issues without taking it in
