Has anyone added an Electric Exhaust cutout to their truck? I picked up a pair of 3" today and am planning to worn on it this weekend. Currently have a catback exhaust, but now that my warrenty is up im thinking im going to replace the 3rd cat with one of these 3" cutouts.

I was interested in seeing how popular they are. I just did mine today and am please with the result.

Im curious what is your set up?

Right now was running a cat back mbrp single exhaust and i cut my cutout right infront of muffler. In the future however i would like to have long tube headers with hiflow cats and true dual exhaust, with the cutouts still. Im trying to find a good but cost effective way of removing my 3rd cat. I was thinking id just punch it out... but havent fully commited to that yet.

Well when I initially had it welded on I was running a Flowmaster 40 single in dual out. The cutout was before the muffler and after the 3rd cat. I found I was running the cutout open 99% of the time so I just chopped off the flowmaster and ran a straight pipe for a couple months. After that I decided it was time for a whole new setup so now I'm actually going to get rid of the cutout completely.

I was pretty happy with it but it's just not for me.

As far as your 3rd cat, you could always cut it off and use clamps to reinstall it if the need arises. Or remove the clamp on the oem pipe and hollow out the 3rd cat so it'll technically be a larger piece of pipe and won't do any real regulating.
