Deleted Pickups

I just recently bought a 2016 high country duramax and am interested in possibly deleting it. I was wondering if anybody here has done that yet and how things turned out, if they were happy with they're results, or if they thought it was a bad idea and what all they'd done? thanks!

Delete as in removing all badges/chrome etc??

I deleted my LML with about 15k miles or so I would do it again in a heartbeat. I don't have emmisions testing in my state. Not worried about the warranty either, if you get reputable tuning you will be fine.

Eh.. I'd take your time exploring the options regarding tuning. Last I heard, on the latest generation of trucks, GM has upped the game regarding catching those who modify the ECM in anyway and that there are data logs stored in other control modules that indicate when a control module has been modified or removed. Which means you're SOL if you have a warranty related repair needed that has to do with the ECM or other control modules.

 

Use EXTREME caution before considering messing with these things while under warranty.
