Chevy Shake: Am I overreacting!?

Hey everyone new member here,

I've been reading this forum for the past week after buying my first silverado 1500 LT with the 5.3 V8. I love the truck, way more comfortable and higher quality than my 2014 RAM that was a complete abomination.

Anyways I came across the thread about the vibration at highway speeds. Today while driving I noticed some slight vibration over 70MPH. The water in my water bottle was moving around but I didn't notice any shaking in the center console. I mostly felt it in the steering wheel. I watched a few videos on the shaking and I don't think it's as severe.

Maybe I'm being too paranoid about it being a brand new truck? Should I talk to the stealership or would it be a huge waste of my time? I really like this truck. I want to keep it long term and I'm praying that it will be as reliable as my father's Chevy that I grew up with.

I know there are literally hundred of pages on the vibration so I'm not here asking for a fix but rather a suggestion if I'm thinking into this too much.

You read these forms and sometimes it makes you think there is something when there is not. I read these forms and think mine is doing this or that and its not.

I agree with both of these responses. All of the past five GM trucks I have owned were smooth at highway speeds. I have experienced a couple of my other vehicles start to rattle at higher speeds but that was remedied when it came time to buy new tires with a balance and alignment. If you believe your truck is not operating properly, get it serviced.
