Brake light problem

I have a 1995 2500 5.7 and I've been having problems with my brake lights. They stay on even after the truck is shut off. I've looked around and was told to replace brake light switch and I did but did not fix the problem. So I've been just unhooking the battery, but evenly I was messing around with fuses, the fuse box under the hood and pulled the Aux B fuse. 30 amp fuse and it solved the problem. I want to know what that fuse controls and if it's important to keep it in or if having a dummy load there is fine.
