The a/c clutch assembly on my '97 Bravada needs to be replaced. It makes all kinds of noise when it engages. It's probably the bearing. I purchased the assembly and was able to borrow a cluch puller from the local auto parts place. Has anyone else performed this on their vehicle? Is it a tough job? Does this tool need to be used to install the new clutch? Sorry for all the questions, especially from a newbie. Any info on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure of the exact procedure to change that part.

Do you have a maintenance/repair manual to reference? If not, I highly suggest you pick one up and read it first. Should answer a ton of questions for you.

Good luck!

I don't have a manual and didn't feel like spending $100 on the GM service manual. Chiltons/Haynes usually don't have enough info for me. I have a buddy at GM and he was able to print out the repair procedures for me. It seems pretty easy, actually. As long as I get the right puller. The right tools always make the job easier!
