Leaking Fuel Rail

Recommended Posts

Posted

On my 2002 Silverado It has been parked for some time and I have recently started to work on the engine. I checked the obd codes and had a PO300 random missfire. I pulled the fuel injectors and found that they were dirty and one was completely plugged, I replaced them with a set I bought on eBay and sprayed carburator cleaner through them to check the spray pattern and cleaned the rails. after replacing the engine runs very smooth, before it would hesitate during acceleration. My issue now is the ends of the fuel rails started leaking. Has anyone ever repaired the ends? These are plastic and i'm assuming there are o-rings on the ends. Will I ruin them by removing the metal end piece?

Any help is appreciated.
