So I get my new spark plug wires today and immediately unpack them. But what do I see when I open the UPS box?--an AOL cd. But that's not all, i also got an ad for a spa company and a 1 free issue card for some magazine. This gets me to thinking, will performance products sell my name and address to companies now since they are already packaging ads in with their products? Oh, and this was the 2nd AOL disc I have received today. The 1st one was in my mailbox packaged like it was a DVD. What a buzzkill!

Most companies do have policies about selling names. They are prob just trying to make some extra $$$$ by allowing other co. to place advertisements in their packs.

I also got what you got when i ordered from performance products in the past. I have not received any other junk mail out of the ordinary like PP sold my name. I wouldnt worry about it. Eddie bauer did this also with some orders in the past

There is a website were two guys are collecting those stupid aol cds to bring back to aol and dump them on the front door step. If I come across it again I will post it.

let us know if you find out! I'll send them all the ones I get! I don't use d@mn AOL, never have, and they keep sending me those d@mn cd's.

I take all the aol cds I get in the mail and from walmart and glue them shiney side up on the wall in my garage, makes a neat mirror
