Rear View Camera Interface / Tap Into Camera?

I'm trying to find out how the rear backup camera interfaces with the display system.

 

I have a front dash cam but it would also be neat to have a rear "dash" cam and I thought maybe I could tap/split into the rear camera and record with a Raspberry PI.

 

I searched the forums a little but didn't see what I was looking for, can someone help direct me?

Is this a proprietary connector and is it a digital connection?

6 wires at the camera. Ign power, Reverse input (to turn it on), Ground, + and - video feed to the HMI module and a drain wire connected to the camera but blunt cut upstream. HMI feeds all video to the screen via what looks like a USB cable.

After doing some searching off terms you used this seems to be right and that might make it hard to split, shucks!
