Another flippin' flapper question

So I am deciding to go with the Borla S-Type exhaust for my 6.2 but then I stumbled on a question I don't think I have seen anywhere..

 

Does anyone know if the 'helicopter' sound is louder on the 6.2 than on the 5.3? or is it about the same?

It sucks either way. Get it tuned or use a Range V4 delete device.

any way to not have 'helicopter' noise? Could you cut the flapper from stock exhaust and put it on cat back setup? would that help at all... or would sizing be an issue?

If you do that you will probably end up with the dreaded V4-to-V8 squeak ...

anyone know where I can buy a universal 3" flapper? i could have sworn I've seen them for sale somewhere but can't find them now

Not sure anyone makes a 3" but I have the stock valve on my stock exhaust I would sell. PM me if interested
