Why are the 3/4 and 1 tonn trucks so much quieter in the cabs than the 1/2 tonns? What type and where is the sound proofing?

If you're running big aggressive tires, that's probably a lot of the noise..........

Some higher end Chevys have noise cancellation built into the radio system.

I get all of that i have owned several diesel trucks and driven many others including ones with mud tires and the radio off and the cab is significantly quieter on my last 3/4 tonn truck the fire wall had thixk insulation on it but there has to be more to it than that

Noise cancellation is on even with the radio off if your truck has this option, the only way to turn it off is to disable it in the menus. RPO code UQG for active noise cancellation.
