Transmission Trouble?

Ok here the vehicle

 

93 Ford (already spotted the problem ) Escort auto trans and 1.9L engine

72K miles

Transmission fluid changed a few wks ago (and filter also)

 

Problem:

 

When at about 65-70 mph the car will slow itself down (like you take your foot off the gas slightly) then all the sudden rev up (from like 2K rpms to 3.5K rpms) and lunge forward (lunge or a lurching forward feeling) happens about 2 times then it smooths out.

 

Anything you can think of that could be the problem.
