Educator's Discount

I am considering either buying or leasing a 2500 and can get the Educator's discount. I have been told that only US Bank will write the leases on the 2500s. I was also told that the educators discount is the same as the suppliers discount. If ordering a 2017 LT or SLE should I be pushing for the ED discount AND some "dealer" discount? How much? And then take whatever rebates are available at delivery (possibly February) ? If anyone has any experience with leasing an ordered 2500 any advice?

Educator program IS same pricing as Supplier. I was told that also means the same restriction of GM setting the sale price, meaning they can't do any better and still use the program. You would still get current factory promos, but not additional dealer discounts. Once you mention the program, a dealer will probably not want to deal without it because it is a better deal for them. One benefit of Educator vs Supplier is that you can still use GM Card points on top of the price, where you cannot on the Supplier program.

 

I'd advise finding the truck you want and going to the http://gmsupplierdiscount.com website to see the price. Then go negotiate on your own without. If you can't get to the same price, then mention the program.

I got some quotes back, crazy numbers. Not going to happen. I may look at the 1500s with the max tow. Thanks to marth3065.
