Hey all im thinking im in need of new shocks my front end was riding ruff so i replaced the bumpstops and that helped but i think new shocks would help its a 2003 gmc 2500hd long bed crew cab 4x4 slt 8.1l with 120k on it i have onwed it since 2007 it had 73k on it so its been at least 50k since last shocks have been put on, anyone recommend a good shock front and rear and prob the steering one also

Thanks

Have you had it aligned? They could reset the ride height if it's settled...that would make it ride closer to the jounce stoppers.

I have 5100 Bilstiens, I always bought the other brands because of Bilstien's cost, but in the end I like these better than all the others I have ran over the years.

I put on Monroe Reflex, pep-boys had 35% off and Monroe had a $70 rebate if you bought 4, so around $100 for all 4. I've had them on for 7 months and they are working great, with a lifetime warranty. There are better shocks out there but these work well on my 3500.

I bought Rancho RS9000 adjustable shocks for my '04 Sierra 3500. I liked that I could put the shock at it's softest setting for the rear (as the thing rides like a buckboard), but I could stiffen up the front so it wouldn't bounce so much. They weren't cheap, but I like how they work. I don't change the settings based on towing big, just set it and forget it.
