2016 Canyon Short Bed?

Hi Folks...

I have a 2016 GMC Canyon Crewcab with a shortbed (5'2"). I was wondering, if I purchased a Longbed (which seems to have been an option) could I simply unbolt the shortbed and bolt on the longbed? Could it be that simple?

The wheelbase is different and if you look at the photos, putting the long bed on a shortbed model, the wheels wouldn't align.
