shockedimpy Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Nearly 6months ago I installed the Diablo Predator which essentially never worked besides disabling the V4 mode. I no longer have the device and wanted to know if I could reset the computer somehow without going into the dealership so the computer goes back to factory and has the V4 mode enabled again... I've tried hinting it towards a GM service rep but he seemed to not understand what I was suggesting....
O_J_Simpson Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 We have no idea what model truck you have.
shockedimpy Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 I apologize, I have a 2016 Silverado Z71 w/ 5.3 L V8
O_J_Simpson Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I apologize, I have a 2016 Silverado Z71 w/ 5.3 L V8 You are totally screwed. Power train warranty is gone. You might get a dealer to overwrite the tune but your computer will carry the non GM tuned marker for life. GM is very strict on this during power train warranty claims. At this point, just get a good aftermarket tune and drive it.
07Softail Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Take it to them they will reflash it for you, they might tongue lash you but they will do it. I doubt the warranty will be voided though. RT
TJay74 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 You could always play dumb, take it to a dealer and tell them you bought it tuned but want the OEM calibration flashed into the computer. Probably cost you around $200 or so.
