Need to find a tuner that lets me adjust as much as i can, including shift points and firmness. Dont want one with canned cycles. I want to be able to make adjustments whenever i need to. So far Hypertech max energy seems the best but would like opinions. Im new here so be gentle.

Most people on here that tuned their trucks went through Justin at Black bear performance. I originally had a superchips canned tuner, and its night and day different from that.

Thanks Joe. I think im just weary about committing to one tune, and by someone I dont know, and who isnt able to drive my truck to see if its right. Is this blackbear tune so good that it wont matter?

Don't worry about him not being able to drive your truck because he does offer in-person tunes at designated locations throughout the US. Also, the Auto Cal tune option allows you to keep him informed on how you like the tune or if there is something you want modified.

 

I did the in-person tune and after he was done, I knew there was nothing I would ever want to change and the tune was still on my truck when I traded it in, Can't wait to hit 100k miles so I can do it again with my current truck.
