One of those days.

The SPEEDY

Got called into work today, which isn't a problem because I like my job. Got in there and my boss put me on a VW Carman Ghia. To tell you a little about the car it has suicide doors, car is fully shaved, l.e.d. turn signal and brake lights molded in. Best part is it has that color changing paint on it that cost $500 a pint. :D I'm adjusting the door latches and popers because its shaved. I get the drivers side working perfect, and move on to the passenger side. I take the latch off because its full of paint. I get it cleaned up, and working freely. I go to put it back on and not even puting 5 pounds of pressure on my wrench the bolt breaks off. Because the car is shaved the heads of the bolts have been cut off and welded in flush. This is what makes my day. After drilling out the hole, and being as careful as possible not to mess up any more paint than I have to I satarted to make a new bolt to go in the door. Then it got too late and had to call it a day.

Seems like when I'm working on a POS I never mess anything up, but when it's something nice it doesn't matter how careful I am, I f**k up.

Sorry for the long post, just needed to vent.

I know I'll get it fixed, definatly better than it was, i'll probably just end up doing two days of work without pay. Boss told me I cost him alot of money as I walked out the door.

...Sounds like the boss was being a little harsh...

Well after going to work today I think he was kinda playing when he said that. It was the truth, but I don't think he really cared about that to much. I think he was more upset with the guy that did the original work on the doors (he got fired not to long ago).

I'll take some pictures of the car tomorrow. Anybody know were they can be hosted for a few days?
