What is this chirping?

Truck has been down since last Thursday evening. Dropped it off at the shop and told them to proceed with the surgery. Got the call yesterday that they would have it ready today. Lifter on #5 cylinder failed (which I don't think is an AFM lifter) and also caused damage to the cam. Had all lifters and cam replaced with non-AFM parts, heads decked, new Melling oil pump, all new gaskets, fluids, and while they had the engine out, I had them go ahead and change the rear main (with my luck, it would have started leaking as soon as I pulled away from the shop). Went and picked it up this afternoon and she running great.

Good call on the Melling pump.

Wondering how much for "everything."

AFM/DOD/VVT kit with all upgrades and new cam from Texas Speed was ~~$640, Diablosport Intune I2030 programmer was ~~$360, labor and parts I didn't order from Texas Speed (oil pump, fluids, etc) was ~~$2050...all told, GMs great AFM concept has cost me right at $3000.

2, 3, 5 and 8 are NON AFM lifters. You had 5 fail, so can't really blame AFM. We had a 2013 6.0 HD back in November with this same issue, and the 6.0 is not an AFM engine. Same EXACT issue. Pitted ass roller on the lifter and it took the cam lobe for it with it.
