285 75 17's under 2.5"F and 1.75"R lift

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a 16 sierra crew 4wd and was wondering if I could fit 285 75 17's on it with a 2.5" lift in the front and a 3" block in the back to replace my 1.25" stock Block.

I'll be running factory steel rims and don't mind getting spacers if it's needed

I've seen people post that they are running a 275/65/20 on a 2.5" level, and that is a 34" tire.

285/75/17 is a tad under 34" at 33.8".

However, every truck seems to be a tad different.

Right on, hopefully the shorter Tire makes up for the added width.. is there a link to a decent Norcal tutorial on here?

No idea sorry. I only know that name from the TBSS forum.

I have 285/75r18s on stock wheels on just a 2.25" level kit. They fit just fine. Measures out to a 35 x 11.60. Although that is also an 18" wheel vs a 17. I would say they would fit no problem.

Nice! Have you had any rubbing of any kind??

fitting a 35" tire is impressive, even if it's only 285 wide!!!

Very minor rubbing on the carpet at first at full lock but no trimming or cutting.

Thanks man! I love it! I've had many compliments from people around town. Highly recommend these tires although, I'm not one that MPG matters to me really but I went from 16-18 down to 14-16 MPG with level and tires.
