Third cat removal worth Muffler in flapper valve removed and resonator

I was wondering if anybody has done it if so what does it sound like any videos and also did it said any codes

I did the muffler delete leaving the flapper and the tailpipe resonator in. You notice the exhaust note around town but it quiets down to almost stock levels when on the highway. Sometimes you hear a bit of drone but its nothing turning the radio up won't get rid of. Best part was it only cost $70.

The "third cat" is called a resonator. There's a bunch of info and vids if you search for resonator delete.

The third cat is in the y-pipe prior to the muffler and just that, a catalytic converter. The resonator is aft of the muffler over the rear axle. They are not one in the same.

My bad. I didn't see it on my truck.

I gutted my cat after my Super 10 install. I have no regrets. It does take longer to warm up in the mornings and I had to disconnect the battery so the truck would relearn fuel trims. It didn't change the volume a whole lot either.
