Dirtbiker Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 This may be dumb, forgive me if it is, but why is white such a popular color among truck owners? I've personally never understood the widespread fascination with such a basic/common color on a vehicle. I know many can look very nice with some different modifications and such, but a lot of people that don't do any aftermarket additions still prefer a bland white color? Don't mean to offend anybody, just genuine curiosity. Just wondering what makes the white such a widely desirable color, as to my (personal opinion) it seems to like fairly bland. I know many just simply like the color, but there's got to be a deeper reason for other people, right?? Easiest color to keep clean plain and simple. If you drive anywhere besides pavement and have winters with salted roads it makes a big difference. My highschool truck was black and if you didn't dry it with a shammy everytime it was washed it would have water spots all over it. I won't buy a dark colored vehicle ever again. My last 4 trucks have been either white or silver. Most companies choose white for their fleet trucks as well.
MotionMan Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 White is the most popular color for all vehicles. Cars, trucks, boats, the sun is a factor, the difference can be over 100 degrees. I have dogs also under a white cap with front and side windows with screens, its like being in the shade, you can touch white and it's the same temp as the air at all times. I like the black and white contrast, also chrome and white is my favorite. It won't fade in case it needs repair or add on parts years down the road. Plus with wraps now you can change it up any time, it's a blank slate. That's why.
