In fact, I think regular cab trucks look so good that I actually have one myself.

Personally, I think everyone ought to have two white Chevy trucks :)

This may be dumb, forgive me if it is, but why is white such a popular color among truck owners? I've personally never understood the widespread fascination with such a basic/common color on a vehicle. I know many can look very nice with some different modifications and such, but a lot of people that don't do any aftermarket additions still prefer a bland white color?

Don't mean to offend anybody, just genuine curiosity. Just wondering what makes the white such a widely desirable color, as to my (personal opinion) it seems to like fairly bland. I know many just simply like the color, but there's got to be a deeper reason for other people, right??

Slows down the rate at which the inside gets hot, at least that's why I got a white one. In my case I will have a canopy and that's where my dogs will travel.

It's not a dumb question at all.

Many people simply prefer the look of white but I chose it because it seems to be easier to keep clean and easier to get clean when needed. It is more forgiving of an amateur's efforts to touch up rock dings, too.

I have a black Chevy that stays in the garage when the weather is bad so I was very much wanting the easiest color to keep nice for a truck. The car is much more difficult to keep looking clean. I agree with the notion that black is not a color - it's a commitment!

You are right, though. White seems to be the most prevalent color on dealer lots and the road. Some of the colors on these new trucks are amazing, especially the darker ones, but for a utility vehicle I had to go with white.

I also agree with this statement referring to the standard cab and have a crew cab myself!

I love my crew cab, but the truth is, that is what a truck is supposed to look like.

That blue is really nice!

I wasn't really sure which colour I was going to get but knew it wouldn't be the 3 primary colours (black, white or red), silver or maroon. It seems that a large percentage of trucks that I see are silver or maroon/burgundy. My dislike for red goes back to a construction company in Oshawa had red pickups & that comes to mind when I think of red.

I don't think I'd seen the blue until I was down in MO last May. It was a sunny day & I saw a Silverado 2500HD crew cab in a parking lot. It looked really sharp.
