2015 Sierra Crew LTZ - noisy sunroof

Has anyone come up with an easy field mod for the front sunroof guard? When I'm up to speed with sunroof open, that pop up netting bar whooshes like a dang jet engine. Can't get the radio loud enough to overcome it, and you almost can't hear yourself think in the cab! I wish that had been designed as a permanent solid type of wind guard, but that style might not look right on a truck.
