Stock in Cobalt and Lithium?

Any of you financial guys out there, what do you think of Cobalt and Lithium stock?

Have read articles where Lithium has gone up big time in the past year or so and Cobalt is suppose to be the next hot stock of 2017, since apparently Cobalt is needed in making of Lithium batteries.

As much as I'm not an electric vehicle guy, the fact still remains, electric vehicles are going to grow like weeds and in order to make them, lithium batteries and the cobalt needed to make the batteries is going to be a hot commodity.

So I'm think of investing in Lithium and Cobalt stocks. Seems like a bit of a no-brainer.
What's your take?

I think when Lithium gets too expensive to make batteries affordable, battery makers will switch to a cheaper material, won't need Cobalt then either and your stocks will crash. Just saying!

That could be.

But the cost to switch technologies in batteries will be enormous as well.

As it stands Lithium seems to be the choice.

I'm reading of massive new Cobalt mining being approved and built in Canada and northern parts of the U.S. (Idaho).

So I think they aren't planning to go a different route for a long time.

In the meantime, riding the wave up in the next few years could be pretty sweet.
