Bose 6 CD Changer Issues

I have a Bose 6 CD changer radio in my 05 sierra, and whenever I unplug and replug the battery, the radio cycles through all of the CD's 2 or 3 times, then stops. I noticed this for a while but didn't think much of it because it really didn't affect anything.

Later on, I decided to change out some of the backlights because some of them were out. I took the lights out, and I ran out of time and had to go somewhere so I plugged the front face back into the radio to have music for the ride, and everything worked fine. When I finally replaced all the bulbs and plugged the front panel into the rest of the radio (connected to the truck) some strange things started happening. Music will play when the front is out, but when I plug it in the music stops, the LCD screen does not turn on, and the backlights act weird. Sometimes the lights turn on, sometimes they don't. They even turn on sometimes without the key in the ignition. If I wiggle the front panel around when plugged in different lights will turn on and off, and the LCD screen lights up sometimes. Also, when I pull the front panel out, the CD's start cycling a few times just like they do when the battery is plugged in. Does this sound like something simple that I could fix? Or does it sound like there is something serious wrong with it and it needs to be replaced?

Any advice would be great. Thanks
