2012 silverado work truck battery draw

Just bought truck a few days ago, service records show its on its 4th battery. It only cranks slow if it sits overnight.

Did find some info on the 2008 models for battery draw from radio, cluster issues and BCM reflash fix.

 

Any info yet on the 2012 with battery draw issue? This is a basic work truck, does not have on-star, or any power options.

 

I will be checking fuses for voltage drop today after the truck sits 3 hours, any tips or pointers much appreciated!

I am confused now more then ever. I have fuses and relays under the hood for options that this truck does not have. Fuses are installed with wiring under them for rear defrost, heated mirrors, and also a rear defrost relay. This truck does not even have power windows let alone rear defrost.

 

Why are these fuses and relays installed in a truck that does not have those options?

Hooked up my volt meter set to dc 20amps in series between the neg batt lead and negative batt terminal.

 

Got a draw of 1.26 amps for about 15 seconds and then went to 0 and stayed there, seems normal to me.

 

I replaced the battery lastnight and it did not crank slow this morning, maybe it was just a bad battery from previous owner leaving dome light on or gps plugged in overnight
