Seat covers

Hello all new here and first time new truck owner.

Purchased a black 2017 Sierra double cab 5.3 4x4 Elevation and I LOVE this truck.

I wanted to buy a black SLT, but went for the base with elevation package because it looked amazing from the outside and I could actually afford it, the SLT was just too expensive but hopefully next time in 5 years or so I'll get an SLT or Denali.

So all the extra fancy stuff the SLT comes with I can live without, I did get the 7" intelli-link and a spray in bed liner and back up camera and towing package as add ons, but otherwise the interior is a pretty basic cloth base interior.

The one thing I really wish it had was leather seats, which brings me to my question for you guys (and gals maybe?)

I found these covers and the reviews all seem to be wonderful as far as fitment and quality and most even say they fit and feel like an OEM seat and people can't tell the difference, plus the price right now is really good, I can get them for $400 shipped for front and rear!

My only dilemma is that they are listed for a 2016 Silverado double cab. They have the option of the same seats as my 2017 Sierra a 40/20/40 bench front and solid bench rear seat. But they are not listed as being for a 2017 Sierra with what I would assume are identicle seats?

That's what I'm wondering, if I buy seat covers for a 2016 Silverado with the same seat configuration as my 2017 Sierra, are the seats exactly the same and they will fit exactly the same? I would assume so but wanted to ask some people who may know for sure! I appreciate anyone's input and advise.

In summary wondering if anyone knows if the seats in a 2106 Silverado are the same as the seats in a 2017 Sierra, assuming the same configuration, 40/20/40 front bench and unsplit bench in rear, they should be the same right?

I am almost positive they are the same. If you get these post up some pics of how they fit feel and look.

I purchased from Fia # OE38-30 and installed in my 2016 2500HD with 40/20/40 seat. Their web site list the same part number for the 2017. The part numbers for the rear seat are also the same. Only thing is there more money than you a talking about. Hope this helps.

I would assume they are the same. I went from a 15 to a 16 and they did not change. I purchased Cal-Trends and after the order was submitted through autoanything Cal-Trend actually called me to confirm the order and review all the specs.

Welcome to this forum! I doubt there is a difference between the 16 and 17 but I suggest phoning the manufacturer to confirm. You will like the "leather" but your cloth seats are nice too. My current truck is the first pickup truck I've owned with leather and I like it for the same reasons I preferred vinyl over cloth in the past! This upgrade will change the look of your interior but the comfort level won't change, imo.

Basic seat design between 16 and 17 is the same.

I swapped out my 17 leather seats for 16 stock cloth. They fit perfectly. The only difference between the two were the leather was set up for air cooled and had a mesh membrane under the seating surface while the cloth did not. This wasn't a big concern for me since I don't use that feature.

Very simple swap, took a few hours. You have to pull the seats to do it right. If you do, make sure you disconnect the - battery cable and let it sit for 10-15 mins before disconnecting the plug to the seat. This will help prevent the seat air bag from going off.
