N-Fab vs. Rough Country Nerf Bars

I love the look of the ones you posted but I can buy two pair of N Fabs for what GM wants for them. Just way over priced but they do look great.

Oh, I hear ya! I was surprised at the price actually. I thought for sure they'd be cheaper than the chrome 6" ones I have on my truck currently. I was wrong!

I am working with the dealership to see if they can do anything with the pricing. I figure I can sell my current ones on Craig's List or something and re-coup some of the money towards the new ones. I got my current ones "free" when I bought the truck; dealership threw them in.

I got the N-Fab bars on my 14 Crew Cab... I saw them on my buddies F-150 and liked the look so I bought them.. After one season and less than 5000 miles on them, all the paint came off and they rusted terribly.. I called up N-Fab and they took care of me. I shipped them back the old bars and they sent me a new set.. The open ends in Michigan allow for dirt and salt to get in, but I figure if that happens again then I'll just get something different. Their warranty was pretty good to work with also, all I had to do was take a few pictures and send that in.. They determined if it was a manufacturer issue or I did something to them.. Once they figured out it was on their end and I was within the warranty frame, it was all good. Only pain was taking them back off and shipping them back.. Luckily you don't have to box them up to send them back.

Thanks for the feedback. I get a sense that rust is an issue with these. I am fortunate enough to live in an area that typically gets little to no snow (except this year!!!) so salt is less of a concern. Nevertheless, I don't want to risk it. Hopefully I can score a decent deal with the GM ones I posted a few spots up...

I ordered the rough country wheel to wheel steps for my 08 last year. All the paperwork inside of the box said N-FAB. I don't know if they are the same exact steps just rebranded or what.

Probably like everything else... All made in the same factory and branded under different names... They look very similar.
