Toyota sequoia not fulfilling my needs

I am new here. For months I have been trying to decide between a new gmc denali crew cab with duramax or gmc yukon xl with 6.2 gas.

I currently own a toyota sequoia and have gun boxes and dog crates that fill the back from the second seat to the tailgate. Not enough room for luggage and sometimes I pull my 12 ft enclosed trailer with atv or put a large thule root carrier on top for the luggage. The gas millage is horrible. I get 13 in town or highway and with trailer its down to 9-10.

My dilemma is do I stay with a suv and go with a yukon xl 6.2 l gas motor. XL will give me 14 extra inches which is not much for luggage after I load my gun box and dog crates but everything is still inside with me, or do I make the change to a pickup truck. I am thinking gas mileage will be not much better than my toyota

and an extra 12-14 inches is not going to be enough for all the hunting gear.

Ideally if I could get the yukon with a duramax 6.6 that is what I would buy but gmc will not say if they are going to build it.

Other option is to go pickup truck and get a 2500 denali with a crew cab with the 6.6 duramax and allison and have my dogs ride in the rear seats with no crates.

Then either put a hard tonneau cover over the bed or a higher painted shell over bed for all my luggage. Then pulling trailer is no big deal when I take it.

Most of my driving is local along with long hunting trips out west on roads going 70-90mph.

Any of you guys have experience with these usages?

Thanks
