Adjusting Cruise Control

When I set the cruise control, the truck speeds up a couple of miles an hour.

 

Is this something I can adjust myself, or am I going to have to take it in for that?

 

Most topics I have searched talk about cruise control not working, but nothing about adjusting.

Mine feels like it does and then seems to drop back down again to what I set it at. Are you sure it doesn't lower automatically like mine? It used to freak me out a bit but I've gotten used to it now.

What M&Y? 2004 and later are PCM controlled. If you have larger tire's that OEM get the PCM recalibrated for your tire size.

Seems like mine sometimes runs 1-3 mph faster than I wanted for a mile or two, then works its way back down to where I set it. Or you can always hit the 'minus' button once or twice to slow it down if you see a cop.
