Weather Tech Floor mats vinyl floor

I have a 2014 sierra with vinyl floor in it. I like the vinyl because of the easy clean up, specially for hunting season and with the dog hair. I purchased the weather tech floor mats, which I knew before purchasing are made to only work with the carpet. The floor mats do slide around on the floor. and my plan is to Velcro them to the vinyl. I bought 3M velcro that was suppose to be very stick, but did not work. My next plan is to super glue the velcro on. I am wondering if anybody else has tried any thing like this or if anybody has any good ideas.

The Velcro should work and I'd try it again with some fresh supplies. Make sure the surfaces you are sticking the strips to are clean. Otherwise, I'd buy the proper rubber mats for the added protection. If you add any strong adhesives or mechanical attachments to your floor you will do more damage than you would leaving it uncovered.

Other than fastening the mats to the floor with screws I think you're sol. Why the need for the fancy mats anyway when you can just hose down the inside of the truck?

I need the floor mat cause with my big ass feet (size 15) my heel will rub a hole in the vinyl over time with going from the brake to the gas. and it will rub all the dirt and deb-re into it. Happens in all my trucks and cars Ive ever had.

weather tech mats suck for that reason. they even slide around on carpet. I would have suggested looking for a husky mat, which is rubber and should want to slide less.

but since you already bought yours, I don't think you have much choice. I would think the velcro will help you, but most likely the mat is still going to migrate over time. the adhesive will slide and stretch when it gets warm. you will always have to keep adjusting it. so just get used to it.

It's your truck you should feel free to wear it out. If you don't use it you are just saving it for somebody else who will.

If you are worried about it you can get a new floor
