Remote Door Lock/Unlock RECEIVER (that works with FOB)

I bought a new FOB to remotely unlock door. I programmed the FOB correctly according to instructions but it will not unlock or lock the doors. Not sure if there is something in the truck that is causing the FOB not to work. The truck is a 2005 GMC Sierra SLW 1500 HD quad cab

Is the FOB brand new or a used? If you went through the procedure and the door locks cycled after 15 seconds and then turn key on and off and remove key, the remote should work.

yes the fob is brand new and steps were followed but the remote still does not work so thinking maybe there might be a problem with something else in the truck, perhaps the "receiver" that receives the fob's transmission or somebody else mentioned some sort of module. have no clue.

If your locks cycle at the end of the programming sequence your receiver works fine.

When we hold the FOB buttons down together (the unlock/lock) up to a minute, during that time span the doors don't lock or unlock. Basically looking for the receiver to check the connections.

Receiver is part of the passenger door switches.
