Ran my truck at the grove today.

My best time? 16.5 seconds at 82.25 mph

Very poor reaction time at the tree! 1.3

Beat out Dodge 360 with headers and true duals.

 4 times

:fume: He wasn't very happy :smash:

Has anyone else run at the track?

If so, what was your time and your mods?

My stock time was 15.3, with the supercharger it is 13.9@93. Still some room for improvement by getting rid of torque managment and leaving some weight at home.

Man guys those times aren't very good. My friend has a stock 2003 silverodo SS nothing done and he is running 14.68 @ 94mph. I have a 2003 gmc sierra extended cab Z71 weighing 5350 with me in it bone stock running 15.86 @87 mph. What altitude are you guys at. A 2001 and newer truck should easily run a 16 flat or better bone stock. I now in 2003 the 5.3 got a bigger cam and intake and more advanced timing. And I read the someone on here has a supercharged SS only running 13.9 something. I was just woundering what altitude you guys were at. Cause now the same friend with the SS bought bored out Ls6 heads Ls6 cam and JBA headers and put on 17's instead of 20's with drag radials and he is now running a 12.64 @ 105.6 mph. I guess he also has a predator programer to raise the limitor to 125mph. but let me know what altitude you guys are at and temp and humidity. I am in Kansas and When I ran my 2003 Z71 bone stock it was about 70 degrees 85% humidity and our altitude is right at 1900 feet. Let me know. later all

I am not saying I don't believe you, but that time is quite a bit lower than everyone else is reporting for a stock SS over at SilveradoSS.com. The range we are seeing is 15.3-14.8. Anomalous data raises warning flags. Are you sure he is really stock? Some people like to "stretch the definition a bit :fume: I suppose there is the break-in factor too. My stock run was with 2500 miles on the odometer. How many miles does your friend have on his SS, and why isn't he over at SilveradoSS.com shooting the breeze with the rest of us? :smash:

I am not sure what the exact altitude at Carlsbad Raceway is, but it is probably 100-500 ft above sea level. My stock time is a bit higher than what others have reported, but it was a warm day, low humidity and with a strong headwind (gusty 15-25mph). The supercharged time was under more ideal conditions, around 75 degrees, humidity was probably medium to high, light winds. Both of my times were done without taking advantage of any "cheats" like leaving the spare tire at home, icing down the engine, etc. I was running a comparison to measure what the supercharger brought to the party. After I get LS1Edit, I will make a few tweaks and take it back to the track, with a bit less weight and see what it will really do.

It is bone stock when he ran it it had 4000 miles. He started running 15.22 and then he took his air filter out and and ran a 14.9 something. Then he started shifting himself. He and I found out that is you start in first and then leave it in gear longer and then shift to second and then sift to 3rd at about 5900 rpm it is quite a bit faster. doing this he ran a 14.7 something then he chucked his spare tire and jack, took his talialgate off, raised the tire pressure in his front tires to 42 psi and then finally ran a 14.6. That was the best ever when it was stock. It was a beatiful day. I do think that breaking helped his dramadically. When he first got the truck with 600 mile it ran a 15.43. after 3500 miles it started to get high 14's everytime. I don't now about yor truck with the supercharger. But the heads stall and cam made his truck come alive. Even with all wheel drive it scrambles the tire for a bit. what psi are you running. I would assume 6-7. He said that getting rid of torque management helped off the line a s**t load. just getting rid of torque management and getting a 3500 stall helped to get his 60 foot down to 1.66. well later all
