Dee Zee Bumper Guard Install/Review - 14 GMC Sierra

Morning guys,

Got around to installing my new Dee Zee bumper guard (bumper guard part number LE9960 and bracket kit part number LE1460) this weekend. I absolutely love the look of the bar. Check out my unbox, install, and initial review video of the the bar.

Unless I missed something somewhere, I had to cut the front bolts on both tow hooks to get them out so after that I was at the point of no return on that. That was the hardest part of the install, everything else, smooth as butter.

I haven't gotten around to mounting up my 32" light bar yet since the square bolts provided by Dee Zee are too short but I did test fit and it looks great.

Guard sticks out about 10.5" and can fit up to a 32" light bar.

Enjoy!

Prepping the Eyourlife light bar from Amazon. Most reviews said remove the frame and add a silicone bead around the glass to metal junction. The bar came with what looks like a silicone bead so mine was just added insurance.

Thanks for the video. It appears to be the same install as the Setina but I recall their instructions requiring much more disassembly. This was probably to avoid cutting bolts. I had a push bar on my last truck and will eventually put one on my current truck. Your video makes this appear to be a much more manageable install!

With the right tool to cut the bolts it's a very manageable project. I'd still be under my truck cutting if I cut those bolts by hand.

Multimax tool for the win!
