Header question

I'm still new to l83. My question is I'm in the process of l86 intake manifold, throttle body and e85 conversion.

 

I live in California and smog laws are a pain. The only headers I see that are ca legal are shorties.

 

Is there any real difference in getting shorties or just keeping the stock exhaust manifolds ?

Historically L-series engines have benefitted very little if any from shorties. The factory logs really aren't that bad.

This is what I thought. Maybe it would have been a bit of a help when I get.my Whipple but if it's minimal I'll just skip it

you could search the corvette forums for some Z06 headers and fly under the radar with those.
