Window Broke

Over the 4th my passenger side window decided it would make a pop'ing noise then quit working all together. I tried to pull the door panel apart, but could not get access to anything. Right now its prop'd closed with some wood. Anyone have any ideas on how much it's going to cost to get it fixed?

go to www.car-part.com and do a search for your year/model. For the part, search for "front door regulator." You can also search by state to do a local pick up, or leave it blank to search all states to have one shipped to you. I bought a motor and regulator assembly for $45 for my electric drivers door about a month ago, and my mechanic charged me $25 to swap it out...all in all, a good deal.

If you're adventurous, you can replace the cable. I know someone on this forum did it. Otherwise, you will need to replace the regulator. It's not hard to do.

It costs $130-ish new from the dealer, or you can find them on Ebay pretty cheap, especially the passenger side ones.

Thanks, I'll be taking it to the dealer.... just wanted to get a ball park cost. I'd do it myself, but heard horror story's of pulling the skin off... :smash:
