Kooks Headers Question

I have a 2014 gmc sierra 1500 5.3. My question is how does the y pipe hook up to the third cat/ resonator. Cut and weld, or clamp? Pictures would be awesome. Thanks guys.

3rd cat is on the factory y-pipe. it uses the factory ball and socket clamp to connect to the catback
