03 gmc sierra had remote start n had passlock 3 problems

My 03 i bought for cheap had a remore start n passlock 3 box laying on the floor i put a new battery in the ppl i bought it off of thought the fuel pump was bad so they replaced it it just died on the road n wouldnt start not sure what someone did or how i can get it to start it turns over fires then dies n the theft light stays on

Passlock 3? I know GM has PassKEY 3, but Passlock was just Passlock.

 

Anyway...

 

I'd rip that remote start right out as its probably what is interfering with the security system. Seen it numerous times over the years including my first car I had that came with an aftermarket remote start. Crank and run for like 2 seconds and then die. Pulled the remote and never had another problem.
