So I have recently been interested in possibly putting a sound system in my truck. I have 16 double cab non bose. I have never had a vehicle with subs in it. I have looked at this set up

https://www.walmart....7&wl13=&veh=sem. My buddy can install the system. I do not want to spend a butt load of money just looking for some bass. Do I need a box with 2 subs or would I be better off money wise just looking for a box with 1 sub and amp? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have one 10in under the rear seat, passenger side. It's just a matter of what you want. More bass, or keeping the storage under the rear seats.

I dont really store anything under the seats, does the 1 sub give you a good amount of bass or should I go 2. I mean im 38 years old so I dont need to blow the windows out....lol

I have 1 12" JL audio tw3 in a ported box under my back seat. It hits really hard. I like it a lot. Other than adding midbass and tuning my high end I am good with the one 12".
