Don't hesitate to visit an independent agent. I created a spreadsheet to compare identical packages/coverages - home, four cars (i pay my college daughters' insurance), misc binders (jewelry, etc) - and agent found Safeco was best for me. Yes, with teenage drivers we've had a claim or two. One year he jumped me over to Travelers because of my kids' ages it was best.

Yeah cheapest is not my goal anyways. Rather pay for knowing that everything will be done proper with no bitching or corner cutting.

 

I guess I'll stick with Amica, great outfit and top rated all over. Check them out if anyone looking.

That is who i was with for the last 3 years Safco, rates did nothing but increase year after year, mind you no tickets and no accident claims and yes my credit rating is pretty decent. Today it just doesn't matter, the longer you are with a company the more you are paying imo. I knew i would get a cheaper rate shopping it around but never thought i would be saving over a thousand a year essentially cutting my yearly payment in half for all the same coverage and rates!
