need help on drop shackles

ive got some 2in belltech shakles i want to put on a 02 gmc , how do i get the weight off the shackle to get it off? can anyone who has done this give me some advise and install tips?

Just use a jack on the frame behind the mount and relieve the weight . Once you install the shackle you can lower the jack a little bit to line it up properly.
